Means to enhance ties with Brunei discussed

Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdallah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, received in his office here yesterday Lim Jock Seng, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs & Trade of Brunei Darussalam, and his accompanying delegation, currently visiting the Sultanate. The meeting discussed various aspects of co-operation between the two friendly countries and means of enhancing them. The meeting also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common concern. The meeting was attended by Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, Secretary-General of the Foreign Ministry, and a number of senior officials at the Foreign Ministry while it was attended from the Brunei side by Mohammad Yasmin bin Haji Umar, Energy Minister at prime minister office, Dato Dr Haji Besar bin Haji Abu Bakar, ambassador of Brunei to the Sultanate, and the delegation accompanying the guest.

1390232364156491600Political consultations: The 14th session of political consultations between the Sultanate and Brunei Darussalam was held at the Foreign Ministry building yesterday. The Omani side was chaired by Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, Secretary General of the Foreign Ministry, while the Brunei side was chaired by Lim Jock Seng, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The two sides discussed aspects of cooperation between the two friendly countries and means of enhancing them to serve the joint interests of the two friendly countries and peoples, besides exchanging viewpoints on a number of regional and international issues of common concern.

The session was attended from the Brunei side by Mohammad Yasmin bin Haji Umar, Minister of Energy at Prime Minister’s Office, Dato Haji Besar bin Haji Abu Bakar, ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to the Sultanate and the delegation accompanying the guest. It was attended from the Omani side by Aflah bin Sulaiman al Ta’ei, Head of the Asian Department, Moosa bin Hamdan al Ta’ei, Head of the International Cooperation Department, and a number of officials at the Foreign Ministry.
